Sharadha Sankararaman Kodem

Managing Attorney

Biography

Sharadha Kodem, Managing Attorney at Kodem Law Firm, combines her personal immigrant experience with legal expertise to provide unique insights and strategic counsel to her clients. With a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from India, she pursued a Master’s degree in the U.S. on an F-1 visa, gaining firsthand knowledge of the immigration process.

Now a U.S. citizen, Sharadha specializes in Business Immigration and Federal Litigation, assisting IT organizations, start-ups, and research facilities with non-immigrant visas and PERM. Her dedication to empowering clients with tailored legal strategies stems from her own immigration journey.

Sharadha Kodem’s journey is one of perseverance, strength, and an unwavering commitment to justice. Arriving in the United States as an international student on an F-1 visa, she worked tirelessly to pursue her dreams, later thriving as a software engineer on an H-1B visa. However, her path took a life-altering turn when she faced and overcame a wrongful deportation process. This challenging experience ignited her passion for immigrant rights, inspiring her to dedicate her life to helping others navigate the complexities of the immigration system.

Why do I practice U.S. immigration law?

As a recently naturalized U.S. citizen, practicing immigration law is a deeply personal passion. I love helping clients achieve their dreams – whether starting a business, reuniting with loved ones, or pursuing a personal goal. Immigration has changed my life, and I have witnessed how it can transform the lives of others, opening doors to opportunities and building brighter futures.

When I help clients navigate the intricacies of immigration laws, it is as if I am lending a hand to create a more inclusive America that values the contributions of immigrants. Each case represents a story of hope and determination, and being part of those journeys is truly inspiring.
